Since losing to Texas in Week 2, Alabama has been cruising. On Saturday, the Tide picked up a dominant win over Mississippi State.

But Paul Finebaum believes Alabama has a challenge ahead of it against Texas A&M next week.

The Aggies have some momentum after beating Auburn and Arkansas, and Finebaum believes they are bound for a big game against the Tide.

“As I was watching the Arkansas game, I was thinking if A&M wins this game, watch out,” Finebaum said on the Matt Barrie Show on Sunday. “Because they need momentum and they have it now. They’ve beaten 2 very average teams, but they’ve gotten out of it what they needed to get out of it, some momentum dipping into Kyle Field Saturday. I think the feeling at A&M, and I was there a week ago, is that they can beat Alabama.”

Texas A&M now has Max Johnson as its starting quarterback, and Finebaum believes he could be what the Aggies need for an upset over Alabama.

“Alabama’s defense has been fantastic, their offense has moments, but this is going to be a different challenge than Ole Miss,” Finebaum said. “Max Johnson is dialing it up. We’ve seen it before, where the guy that we didn’t talk about comes in and maybe leads the team to something special.”
