Report: Former Alabama DL Jonathan Allen will miss rest of season
The Washington Redskins received some tough news regarding their talented rookie.
It was reported on Wednesday that Allen will miss the rest of the 2017 season after suffering a Lisfranc injury against the San Francisco 49ers.
Allen was drafted by Washington in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft to improve the defensive front. Losing Allen will be a big loss for the Redskins moving forward. He had seven total tackles and a sack while starting in the first five games of the season.
John Keim shared the report on Twitter:

Allen put together a remarkable career over four years with Alabama. He finished his career with 152 total tackles, 44.5 TFL, and 28 sacks. He finished his career second on Alabama’s all-time list for sacks.
The Tide won the 2015 National Championship and made three straight trips to the College Football Playoff (2014-2016) during Allen’s time with the team.
