Report: More Alabama players test positive for coronavirus
A week ago, it was reported that up to 5 Alabama players tested positive for COVID-19 upon the team’s return to campus. On Thursday, a new report says that 3 more tested positive during another round of testing.
The latest report comes from WJOX’s 3 Man Front.
BREAKING: #3ManFront has learned that Alabama had three more players test positive for COVID-19.
The three players who tested positive were asymptomatic and it was part of the 2nd round of tests conducted on the players.

Last week’s report resulted in Alabama releasing a statement at the time that did not offer further details due to student-athlete privacy laws:
“The health and safety of our student-athletes is a top priority. Resources and protocols are in place to ensure they receive the best medical care when returning to campus. Due to privacy laws we cannot share information specific to the health of our student-athletes.”
Alabama players are back on campus holding voluntary workouts. While the players are surely disappointed they cannot workout, it’s probably best for them to be tested and treated in June rather than closer to the season.
