Ryan Williams scored a massive touchdown late in the 4th quarter of Alabama’s Week 2 contest vs. South Florida on Saturday night.

For the second year in a row, the Crimson Tide have struggled to separate from USF. Up just 21-6 late in the final stanza, it was Williams who made a big play to give the Tide some separation over the Bulls.

Williams caught a ball underneath by the numbers and then immediately turned to his left to get around a USF defender and hit the sideline. From there, his speed did the rest of the work.

Williams won a foot race to the end zone and put Alabama up 28-16:

Williams is just 17 years old but is already establishing himself as one of the very best young receivers in the country. A 5-star prospect in the class of 2024, Williams re-classified up a year in order to join Alabama for this season.

Alabama is certainly glad that he decided to do so. Williams caught 2 touchdowns in Alabama’s season-opening win over Western Kentucky in Week 1. He certainly appears to be amongst Alabama’s best playmakers despite his young age.

Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will face Wisconsin in Madison next weekend.
