Ryan Williams gives Alabama some breathing room vs. USF with incredible 43-yard TD
Ryan Williams scored a massive touchdown late in the 4th quarter of Alabama’s Week 2 contest vs. South Florida on Saturday night.
For the second year in a row, the Crimson Tide have struggled to separate from USF. Up just 21-6 late in the final stanza, it was Williams who made a big play to give the Tide some separation over the Bulls.
Williams caught a ball underneath by the numbers and then immediately turned to his left to get around a USF defender and hit the sideline. From there, his speed did the rest of the work.
Williams won a foot race to the end zone and put Alabama up 28-16:

Williams is just 17 years old but is already establishing himself as one of the very best young receivers in the country. A 5-star prospect in the class of 2024, Williams re-classified up a year in order to join Alabama for this season.
Alabama is certainly glad that he decided to do so. Williams caught 2 touchdowns in Alabama’s season-opening win over Western Kentucky in Week 1. He certainly appears to be amongst Alabama’s best playmakers despite his young age.
Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will face Wisconsin in Madison next weekend.
This may be the worst performance I have seen out of Bama since 2007.
Nope the game in Tampa was worse. Should have benched 75 in the first half. You’re Alabama you’re supposed to have a deep bench. That and Milroe has shown once again he cannot audible out of a play.
I’ll have to disagree with you. The penalties, the lack of push from the OL, the defense allowing USF receivers to get behind them, and all of this is at home. I know Bama was down 2 starters on the OL but that does not excuse the penalties, and the subsequent gains lost including a long TD. This was a one point game in the 4th quarter. Bama has better talent that that and they need to show it.
I told you so. Alabama looks weak and smells of dead dynasty.
Garbage
Give Golesh an average power 5 roster and Bama loses. Maybe lose last year as well
Sure are a lot of Vil fans here on a Bama article. I guess all those years of losing to Bama will cause that to happen when Bama has a struggle win. Just more evidence of the pain Bama has caused them over the years. Too bad they can focus on their own team. If only they had the ability to do so. Look for more comments from them to confirm this.
It’s “can’t” when you’re trying to describe how something isn’t currently, hasn’t, or won’t be happening. At least to those of us who learn the English language outside of Alabama. I can’t (not can) speak for anyone else, I’m just here to help others learn. I’m nice like that!
Okay, grammar police. Spell check changes it sometimes which it did and this is SDS. Must proofread more often. It is not like editing is a priority on this site for the writers. You get the my point though and thanks for proving my point.
“The/my”. See it happens.
Tim Walz did the grammar excuse first and better. Do you buy tampons for boys like Tim?
No, but thanks for proving my point. Keep coming back to show how much pain Bama has caused you. I knew that pointing out the truth would get Vil fans riled up and voila, one keeps posting on Bama articles to verify it.
I told you so. Alabama looks weak and smells of Group of 5 close call.
If that were the case you wouldn’t care and spend so much time on Bama articles. The truth is that you so desperately hope so after all those years of Bama giving you so much pain. Tell me, did it start with Rocky Block or 2007 when Saban joined Bama. I bet 34-20 didn’t help either. Keep coming back to this Bama article that has nothing to do with your team and prove me correct once again. Won’t be long I’m betting.
Alabama looks weak and smells of panic.
Vil train jockey fans are jealous of Bama.
Pac 12 Alabama looks weak and smells of fear.
See what I mean. Right on time. Thanks for proving my point.
