Alabama will leave Fayetteville with a spotless 6-0 record after recording a 49-30 win Saturday night, but the game did not go perfectly for the Tide, as three players were forced to leave the game and did not return due to injuries sustained against the Razorbacks.

During his post-game media availability, head coach Nick Saban discussed the injured players: Freshman running back Joshua Jacobs, senior linebacker Reuben Foster and senior offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor.

“Joshua Jacobs had a nerve in his elbow, I’m sure he will be fine,” Saban said when asked to comment on the injuries. “He was actually cleared to play in the second half of the game but we did not play him.”

Jacobs finished the game with 57 rushing yards on only three carries.

“Reuben (Foster) got a little concussion, don’t know how serious it is,” Saban said. “(Alphonse Taylor) got a minor concussion, so we just held him out and played Lester (Cotton) because we were ahead in the game at the time 28-7 or whatever. We didn’t want to push him. Hopefully, he will be able to get better. Both these guys will get better in the future.”

The status for the two players suffering from concussions will be something to monitor this week, as Alabama plans for the trip to Tennessee.
