The way Shaun Dion Hamilton tells it, everything Alabama sold to him before making his college decision turned out to be true in Tuscaloosa.

Now a member of the Washington Redskins, the linebacker played for Alabama from 2014 until 2017 before being selected in the 2018 NFL Draft.

In his four seasons in college, Hamilton registered 134 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.

In a recent video released by Alabama, Hamilton was asked to share why he picked Alabama in the 2014 recruiting cycle, where he was one of the nation’s most coveted prospects out of Carver High School in Montgomery, Ala.

“I chose the University of Alabama because I knew that I was gonna be able to compete with the best players in the country and I knew I could win national championships and I knew that they was going to help me not only get education but help me get ready for the next level,” Hamilton says in the video below.
