With a 35-17 lead at halftime of the SEC Championship, Alabama put up a new record for points in the game.

Led by QB Mac Jones and RB Najee Harris, the Crimson Tide opened the scoring, and then matched each Florida score with one of their own. There was an interception, but the Tide didn’t even lose possession thanks to a bone-crushing hit that caused a fumble.

QB Mac Jones was 20-for-28 passing for 267 yards and four touchdowns. Harris added 88 rushing yards with another score on the ground, on a 5.5 yards-per-carry average. DeVonta Smith hauled in eight catches on 10 targets for 113 yards with a touchdown.

Overall, Alabama had 366 total yards, including an eye-popping 22 first downs and a 7.2 yards per play average.

Alabama led in most offensive categories, including time of possession where it had an edge of 19:10 to 10:50. With all of that production, Alabama didn’t punt.

Alabama was 3-for-3 in the red zone and 7-for-9 on third down, and also added seven points off turnovers. On first down, Alabama had an incredible 7.7 yards per play average, including a 5.5 clip rushing.

With this pace, it’ll be interesting to see how the second half unfolds.
