Tua Tagovailoa is no longer a secret, and he has everyone in college football gushing over his ability and upside.

Former Heisman Trophy winning QB Tim Tebow joined ESPN’s First Take Friday morning, where he destroyed Jim Harbaugh and Michigan. Nonetheless, the hosts also asked Tebow his thoughts on Tagovailoa after his impressive start against Louisville, and from one lefty to another, Tebow thinks Tagovailoa has a chance to be one of the great to ever play college football.

“I think he’s really good with a chance to be great — one of the greatest to ever play college football,” Tebow explained. “But I don’t necessarily think it’s going to show up in his stats, because he’s got four great running backs, three great receivers and a great defense. And oh, by the way, they don’t necessarily go up-tempo; so, you’re not necessarily going to see the same stats that you’re going to see from other teams. But just in watching him play, you’re going to see greatness. I think it’s going to be really tough to beat Alabama this year.”

Now, that’s some high praise, and Tebow is exactly right. Tagovailoa’s numbers may not jump off the page, but Alabama’s offense is going to put up some crooked numbers on the scoreboard. Tagovailoa should be very efficient, and it’s going to be tough for any defense to slow down the Tide’s offense.

Tagovailoa should prove to be the best QB Nick Saban has ever had.
