Todd Fuhrman is the latest to dish on Alabama’s quarterback situation after the Week 2 loss to Texas. Starting quarterback Jalen Milroe completed 14 of his 27 passes for 255 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in the Crimson Tide’s first loss to the Longhorns since 1982.

Now there’s emerging rumors that Alabama could reverse course and insert Tyler Buchner for the Week 3 matchup at South Florida.

However, the betting analyst believes that would be a mistake.

Buchner completed 3 of his 5 passes for 27 yards along with a rushing touchdown in the Week 1 win vs. Middle Tennessee.

Yet Fuhrman isn’t sold on the Notre Dame transfer as the answer to Alabama’s offensive woes.

“We’ve seen him on tape. We know he’s a little bit limited as a passer. I don’t think he provides nearly that level of physicality in the ground game either,” Fuhrman said. “It would be a very perplexing move in my opinion because it doesn’t raise the ceiling of what this Alabama offense would be.”

Alabama at South Florida is slated for Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m. EST and will be televised on ABC.
