Tua Tagovailoa made his NFL debut Sunday as the Miami Dolphins beat the New York Jets 24-0.

The former Alabama quarterback entered the game with less than 2 minutes to play in the fourth quarter to a very loud ovation by Dolphins fans. He completed his first NFL pass attempt on the second play and then completed a first down pass on third down.

When Tagovailoa injured his hip at Alabama in 2019, there was some discussion that he may never play football again. That’s how bad Tagovailoa’s hip fracture and dislocation could have been.

Thankfully, he recovered 100 percent and was picked by the Miami Dolphins at No. 5 overall after a series of workouts showing his quick recovery.

While his NFL debut was incredible, ESPN reporter Cameron Wolfe captured a stunningly powerful moment after the game of Tagovailoa sitting by himself at the 15-yard-line savoring the moment and soaking it all in. Tagovailoa had gone to the locker room, but he came back out for this.
