Twitter blasts Alabama's No. 4 ranking in College Football Playoff Poll
Did you hear? Alabama is No. 4 in the first College Football Playoff ranking of 2015.
Twitter nearly broke as analysts and fans alike pounded out their displeasure, 140 characters at a time.
Many were a bit surprised to see Clemson at No. 1, but Alabama sitting at No. 4 after losing to Ole Miss at home earlier in the year brought out plenty of hate directed at the Tide and the SEC.
The general sentiment is, not shockingly, that the committee is biased toward Nick Saban’s squad and the rest of the SEC.
It’s still fun to see fans overact. Here are just a few people’s Twitter reactions:
LOL they put Alabama at 4

Seriously, it’s the only program in the country that doesn’t get penalized for losing a game. It’s disgraceful.

The selection committee's love affair with the #SEC continues… Two out of top four

The message to the teams is schedule tough out of conference. Unless you're in the SEC. Then don't worry about it.

Alright drama over. Can't wait for the day we get closer to determining championships on the field not in a board room. #8teamplayoff

Jeff Long says Alabama has three quality wins. That’s an interesting take.

Alabama could have 4 losses and they would be in college football playoff

College Football Playoff committee is trolling everyone including to SEC teams, even if it's well deserved #CFBPlayoff

Look if Bama wins the SEC by all means put them in. But for now they are evaluated differently than everyone else, plain and simple.

Even SEC analyst Paul Finebaum is surprised.
Would someone please let this committee know they play football in the Big 12.
— Paul Finebaum (@finebaum) November 4, 2015
Alabama does NOT deserve to be #4 in the college football playoff initial rankings After Saturday? Sure. Right now? No.

I am amazed that our Memphis Tigers keep getting mentioned on the College Football Playoff Show. This has been an unbelievable season!

Wait. Where's Auburn? Why did they get left out? #collegefootballplayoff
— Dusty Keel (@Dustykeel) November 4, 2015

The #SEC was 7-5 in bowl games last year, including ranked teams going 2-5. But please, load up the College Football Playoff w/ SEC teams

Even if you don’t think Alabama deserves a spot right now, things certainly will be settled one way or another Saturday, when they host LSU.
