A pair of former Alabama players have found NFL teams this week after they were let go by their former teams.

Former All-American Arie Kouandjio was signed to the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad this week, the team announced, after he was released by the Washington Redskins earlier this month. Similarly, former Alabama cornerback Bradley Sylve was signed by the New Orleans Saints to a spot on the NFL team’s practice squad. Sylve’s signing came after cornerback Sterling Moore suffered a pectoral injury, The Advocate reported.

The Washington Redskins released Kouandjio when they trimmed their roster to reach the 53-man regular-season limit. Kouandjio was drafted in the fourth round in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Redskins, and in two seasons, made two starts and played in nine games. The Ravens had a need to sign an offensive lineman after guard Marshal Yanda was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury. The team then promoted center Matt Skura from their practice squad, which opened a spot on the practice squad.

Sylve played at Alabama from 2012 through 2015. He suffered a torn left Achilles tendon one day before he was to participate in Alabama’s annual Pro Day.

Sylve signed with the Buffalo Bills in April. The Bills released Sylve earlier this month to reach the regular-season limit of 53.
