Elite WR Henry Ruggs III reveals Alabama commitment in emotional video

Four-star WR Henry Ruggs III, from Montgomery, Ala., was reportedly down to Alabama and Florida State. In the above video collaboration with AL.com, Ruggs revealed he’s sticking with the home-state Crimson Tide and will honor his fallen friend.

Ruggs, who measures 6-foot, 170 pounds, is rated the No. 11 wide receiver and No. 2 Alabama product by the 247Sports Composite. His brother, class of 2018 OLB Kevontae’ Ruggs, recently received an offer from the Crimson Tide as well, in what may have been a last-minute attempt to keep the older Ruggs from going to the Seminoles.

With the addition of the older Ruggs, Alabama’s No. 1 class now has 26 commits. Ruggs’ highlights can be viewed below:
