Will Anderson had a strong NFL debut Sunday afternoon for the Houston Texans against the Baltimore Ravens.

The No. 3 overall pick in the recent NFL Draft totaled 6 tackles, 1 sack and 2 QB hits, but the statline doesn’t do it justice. Against any quarterback not named Lamar Jackson or perhaps Justin Fields, Anderson totals at least a couple of sacks in his strong NFL debut.

On Wednesday a cut of Anderson’s best plays started making its rounds on social media. Take a look at Anderson’s best snaps from Week 1.

He was flying around the field:

Once again, it’s hard to stress how much Anderson pressured Jackson Sunday while still accepting that Jackson isn’t like most QBs. Just the fact that he’s getting in his face this early shows he’s already ahead of where he should be.

His first NFL sack comes about halfway through the above video.

Houston fell to Baltimore, 25-9 on Sunday; mostly by account of the Texans’ dreadful offense. Anderson and the Texans will be back in action in Week 2 when Houston travels to Jacksonville to face off against Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars.
