Tua Tagovailoa re-injured his knee against Mizzou on Saturday night, but the Alabama quarterback still threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns in limited action.

That puts his touchdown-to-interception ratio at an incredible 21-to-0, and he’s earning praise from across the country.

As you can see in the clip below, that caused New York radio host Mike Francesa, who normally doesn’t pay attention to much outside of the northeast, to heap praise on the sophomore quarterback:

“Now (the New York Giants) are in the market for a quarterback,” he said. “And the next great quarterback is two years away at Alabama. He’s gonna be taken with the first pick in the draft. That’s it. So the only way you’re getting him is if you have your hands on the first pick. Everybody knows he’s going to be the first pick. The kid already this year has 21 touchdowns and no interceptions. He’s gonna be the next Steve Young — he’s the next great player. He’s the next great quarterback and he’s two years away.”

Can the Giants wait until 2020 to draft their next franchise quarterback? I guess we’ll find out.
