No. 1 Alabama is 8-0 and looks like a juggernaut at the moment. Many think the Crimson Tide are a lock for the College Football Playoff, but we’ll find out more next weekend at LSU.

However, are there any teams in other conferences that can compete with the Tide? That was the question on “Undisputed” on Wednesday, and host Skip Bayless said he thinks there is one squad that can knock off Bama.

As you can see in the video below, Bayless says Michigan is a team that would be a difficult matchup for Nick Saban’s crew:

“I told the great Joel Klatt before the season started that I thought there was one team that could beat Alabama,” he said. “And the more I watch that team, the more I believe what I told you before the season started. I think Michigan has all the components to beat Alabama, and I know that Alabama, with Tua at quarterback, is flying as high as any college team I can remember in all my years of watching college football. They are dominating in ways I’ve never seen before. It’s over after five minutes every game. …

“Michigan right now is No. 1 in pass defense in college football. Third straight year. Don Brown is the best defensive coordinator in college football and he just proves it year after year. Not only are they first in pass defense, they’re No. 1 in overall yards allowed. It’s a really good defense that can do a lot of things. It can cover and it can really rush the passer.”

Bayless then goes on to praise Michigan QB Shea Patterson — the former Ole Miss quarterback.

Can Michigan make it to the College Football Playoff? We’ll have to see, but there are still some tough games on the Wolverines’ schedule, including a showdown with rival Ohio State.
