Vanderbilt suffered a rude awakening this past weekend.

The Commodores, who started 3-0 for the first time since 2011, were gearing up to play No. 1 Alabama. Vanderbilt was so confident heading into the tough matchup that DL Nifae Lealao even called out Alabama before the matchup.

The game did not go well for the Commodores as the Crimson Tide dominated the game at every turn. The Tide offense racked up 677 total yards of offense with freshman QB Tua Tagovailoa getting in on the action with two touchdowns in the 59-0 win.

Vanderbilt and Lealao would like to forget Saturday’s defensive performance and move on quickly, but one video surfaced Tuesday of Lealao getting demolished on a block.

Here is the video from the SEC Network’s Cole Cubelic:

AL.com’s Matt Zenitz pointed out that it was one of Alabama’s backup guards that had the strong block on Lealao.

Here is the original video of Lealao calling out the Crimson Tide following the Commodores victory over Kansas State:

Maybe next time he’ll think twice before calling a team out.
