With two games remaining, Mark Ingram closing in on milestone for fifth straight year

Despite being suspended for four games to start the this season because of performance-enhancing drugs, Mark Ingram is closing in on a 1,000-yard milestone for the fifth straight year.

The former Alabama star has 729 total yards for the New Orleans Saints: 582 rushing and 147 receiving, with five touchdowns, through 14 games. The Saints have remaining games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers.

The former first-round pick has had four straight 1,000-yard seasons from scrimmage, which started in 2014 (1,109, nine touchdowns). Ingram is also one score away from setting a new career rushing touchdown mark for the franchise (55), according to Touchdown Alabama Magazine.

Ingram is coming off his best season as a pro in 2017 when he rushed for 1,124 rushing yards, with 416 receiving yards.
