Head strength and conditioning coach can be added to the list of open staff positions at Arkansas.

USF coach Jeff Scott announced Friday that he has hired Trumain Carroll as the Bulls’ new strength coach.

“I’m very excited to add Trumain Carroll to our staff at USF,” Scott said in a press release. “Our strength and conditioning staff spend a great deal of time with our student-athletes, so it was very important to get the right person to lead that effort. Trumain has a track record of developing players and preparing them for success and will be an excellent coach and mentor for the young men in our program.”

The hire can be attributed to the Clemson connection. Carroll originally followed Chad Morris from Clemson to SMU (2015-17) and then to Arkansas for the past two seasons (2018-19).

Scott, like Morris, is a former Clemson assistant. He was on the Tigers staff from 2008-19, holding the title of co-offensive coordinator from the past five seasons.
