Arkansas drops intense hype video for Liberty Bowl clash with Texas Tech
Arkansas finished with a pedestrian 6-6 record in the regular season this fall, so Friday night’s Liberty Bowl is not only a chance to end a so-so season with a victory, it’s a chance for the Razorbacks to have a winning season in 2024.
The Hogs will square off with 8-4 Texas Tech in a 7 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN from Memphis, and on Thursday night, just about 24 hours before kickoff, Arkansas football’s social media decided to get Razorbacks fans ready for the postseason clash by releasing a hype video. The headline atop the social media post is: “‘Twas the night before Gameday”
The hype video is 53 seconds long, just long enough to get passionate Arkansas fans excited for 1 last taste of Razorbacks football in 2024.
Arkansas is bowl eligible for the 4th time in 5 seasons under head coach Sam Pittman. For Razorbacks fans old enough, Friday night’s bowl bash will be nostalgic, with Arkansas and Texas Tech being rivals from the old Southwest Conference.
The Razorbacks will be making their 7th appearance in the Liberty Bowl, dating back to 1971 against Tennessee. Arkansas is 3-3 in those 6 previous Liberty Bowl matchups, so Friday night’s showdown with the Red Raiders will also be a chance to have a winning record in the bowl game.
