Saturday just got a little sweeter for Arkansas fans, as the Razorbacks landed a commitment from Sean Michael Flanagan, a versatile athlete from Charleston, Arkansas.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Flanagan is rated as the No. 7 player in the state of Arkansas and the No. 87 athlete, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He played free safety on defense and wide receiver on offense for Charleston, as well as chipping in on special teams.

He announced his commitment via Twitter on Saturday:

As a player, Flanagan possesses natural athleticism and a high football IQ, playing longer than his 6-foot-2 frame. With the hands of receiver, and some experience at safety, it will be interesting to see how Bret Bielema will use his new toy.

His versatility and perceptiveness mean that he can be plugged into multiple spots in a pinch, which will be helpful for an Arkansas team that is learning a new defensive scheme and could use some playmakers on offense.
