Arkansas players express excitement, SMU players happy for Chad Morris
It is being reported that Chad Morris has told his players that he is leaving SMU to become the new head coach at Arkansas.
Things have heated up for the Razorbacks following the hire of new AD Hunter Yurachek. He was introduced at a press conference Wednesday as reports surfaced that Morris was coming to Arkansas.
Morris has spent the last three seasons as head coach at SMU after previously serving as the OC at Clemson. Morris definitely has a solid track record after turning around the SMU program. The team won just two games in his first season there but produced seven wins and a bowl game this year.
Morris reportedly agreed to a deal with Arkansas on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see how his tenure plays out, but it looks to be a solid hire for the Hogs.
Fans, players, and media members took to social media to react to the news:

I’ve been up and down on Chad Morris but I do think he will be a good fit for Arkansas. It will be something exciting to watch. He’s supposed have money to spend on assistants. Rumors are there’s a chance Clemson DC Brent Venables moves to coach w Morris.

Two very important athletic hires at the U of A. It was time for a new direction on and off the football field. Chad Morris brings energy & a high octane offense. This team will be fun to watch. Now, ditch the field turf, install grass, & the Hogs will be back in business.
