Arkansas wide receiver Bryce Stephens withdrew his name from the transfer portal on Wednesday. Stephens entered the portal on Dec. 7 after spending three seasons in Fayetteville.
Stephens recorded 18 catches, 202 yards and a touchdown over that span, and he frequently appeared on special teams. After redshirting in 2021, Stephens appeared in all 13 games during the 2022 campaign. Amidst the Razorbacks’ disappointing 2023 season, Stephens only appeared in 3 games and did not register a catch.
Stephens was rated as a 3-star recruit out of John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City. He chose Arkansas over the likes of Oklahoma State, TCU, Tulsa, Nebraska and Iowa State.
Stephens should have a chance to fight for more playing time in 2024, as the Razorbacks lost Andrew Armstrong and Iscaac TeSlaa this offseason, players who ranked first and second respectively on the team in catches and yards last season. Former Boise State QB Taylen Green has joined the Razorbacks as KJ Jefferson will continue his career at UCF.
