Bobby Bones has set the record straight on his stance on Sam Pittman as head coach of Arkansas.

Bones, a radio and TV personality, is an Arkansas native and a Razorbacks superfan. He took to social media to address his stance after he claimed people have been asking his thoughts on the situation.

Bones believes Pittman should be the coach at Arkansas next year despite what has been a disappointing season so far with the Razorbacks sitting at 3-7. Bones said he believes in Pittman and his ability to get the Razorbacks out of a rut.

Practically, Bones said that paying Pittman’s lofty buyout would not be worth it.

Bones also defending Pittman as keeping the head coach would provide some long-term stability to a program that has not had much of it in recent years. The Razorbacks have had 3 different head coaches since 2017.

Arkansas is looking for a pair of wins to close out the season on a positive note. The Razorbacks will play FIU this week before ending the season against Missouri.
