Arkansas senior quarterback Austin Allen is apparently going to “give it a go” on Saturday against Alabama, despite possibly not being 100 percent.

Razorbacks head coach Bret Bielema said as much on his radio show Thursday.

Allen injured his shoulder last weekend against South Carolina.

It was reported on Wednesday that he may not be ready for this week’s game against the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa.

Now, Bielema says, he’ll “see what happens.”

Allen has become notorious for being one of the SEC’s toughest players. He’s taken an incredible amount of hits at the QB spot with an offensive line that hasn’t been stellar in terms of pass protection.

Arkansas fans are not happy with Bielema’s decision to play a banged up Allen against one of the nastiest defenses in college football.

Many see it as though Allen is a “dead man walking,” mainly because of how talented and physical the Alabama defense is.
