Friday was a big day for the Morris family and the Arkansas Razorbacks football team.

Chandler Morris, an Elite 11 quarterback and son of head coach Chad Morris, announced his pledge to the Hogs. The Woo Pig faithful may recall that the older Morris recently told reporters that he wasn’t recruiting his son to Fayetteville, leaving Razorbacks OC Joe Craddock in charge and simply being “the dad.”

Turns out, Chad was a little more involved in Chandler’s recruitment than he let on. The head coach and proud father quote tweeted his son’s commitment announcement to add that he was working on the most important person in Chandler’s recruitment, Paula Morris. All coaches know that winning over momma is a big key to securing the kid’s commitment.

Talk about an extra-special Father’s Day weekend for the Morris family.
