Fans react to reports that Arkansas has fired coach Chad Morris
On Sunday, Arkansas reportedly fired head coach Chad Morris. It wasn’t too much of a surprise, as the Razorbacks were blown out at home against Western Kentucky on Saturday afternoon.
Many fans were calling for Morris to be fired, especially since he continues to be winless against SEC teams. On Sunday, it seemed the school obliged.
While Morris may find future success as a coordinator (he was a good offensive coordinator at Clemson), fans aren’t exactly sad to see him out at Arkansas.

Gotta give props to Chad Morris. He was the greatest con artist in the history of Arkansas sports.

News that is news but not actually, news.
Sad for Chad Morris, but he just couldn’t find success, and he lost the locker room and fans along the way. https://t.co/R5ro0khz7U

Chad Morris should’ve never been the guy in the first place. Definitely feels weird to fire a guy within the first two years, but Yurachek wasn’t even the one who hired him. Chad seems like a really good guy, but just being a good guy doesn’t win you games in the SEC.

Chad Morris doesn’t have to go back to Texas but he’s gotta get the hell out here. #chadmorris #fired

I can’t believe how badly it went for Chad Morris at Arkansas. Still think it’s as much an an indictment about the state of that program as it is his coaching ability. Might just be one of those guys who’s meant to be a coordinator. Whoever gets him as OC/QBc will be lucky.

The good news about Arkansas firing Chad Morris is after he leaves a program, the program experiences incredible success (Clemson, SMU).

Where will Morris end up next? Will he get another head coaching job or will he be a coordinator somewhere?
