The University of Arkansas has decided to move on from head coach Chad Morris. The school announced the news Sunday afternoon.

In a tumultuous two seasons, Morris finished 4-18 as the Razorbacks’ head coach. Specifically in 2019, the Hogs are currently 2-8 overall and 0-6 in SEC play. On Saturday, things turned from bad to very ugly, as Arkansas was blown out by Western Kentucky on Senior Day 45-19. To make matters worse, Hilltoppers starting quarterback Ty Storey used to play for the Razorbacks and Morris.

During his two seasons, Morris finished 0-14 in the SEC. He also has a 1-35 record when losing at halftime during his career.

Arkansas hired Morris on December 6, 2017, from SMU. He finished with an overall record of 14-22 at SMU, including an 8-16 conference record. Morris was previously Clemson’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2011-14.

Morris has yet to beat a Power Five team as a head coach.

Saturday Down South will have more on this breaking news story.
