We don’t yet know where Feleipe Franks will land but we do know he won’t be returning to Florida next season.

When Franks shared the news of his departure from Gainesville following the end of Florida’s regular season finale against FSU, he noted he would consider all opportunities, including a potential jump to the NFL. However, it appears the former Gator is now planning on staying in college for another season.

In fact, it looks like Franks is considering staying in the Southeastern Conference.

According to John Nabors of Arkansas radio show “Hit That Line” and Nikki Chavanelle of Rivals, Franks is scheduled to take an official visit to Arkansas this weekend.

The new-look Razorbacks offense led by offensive coordinator Kendal Briles is looking for a leader under center and Franks may fit what the system needs to run effectively next season. Of course, Houston quarterback D’Eriq King announced on Monday that he plans to explore his options in the transfer portal, too.

Considering King’s best season of his career came in Briles’ system, the QB scored 50 touchdowns back in 2017 in Briles’ offense, the Razorbacks are currently considered one of the biggest contenders for the Houston quarterback’s services in 2020.

Either way, with a new system being put into place, look for Arkansas to add at least one quarterback this offseason via transfer and another come National Signing Day as Sam Pittman’s program looks to load up on depth at the game’s most important position.
