Arkansas QB Feleipe Franks is one of the most experienced SEC quarterbacks in the league this season. His transfer from Florida gave the Razorbacks instant credibility at an important position on the field.

But in a conversation on “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Thursday, Franks explained what motivates him now, and how the transfer journey shaped him as a player.

“Any football player who loves the game, it’s easy to tell you what drives you, the love and the passion that you have for the game and I’ve had that since I was a little kid,” Franks said. “And to still be out here and play on Saturdays and practice through the week and still be able to put that work in to play on Saturdays, it’s all a blessing and I never take those things for granted. It’s been definitely a long transition from when I did get hurt to now, but I think there were many lessons taught along the way that I’m grateful for as well. I wouldn’t trade that journey for anything looking back on it now.”

Franks and the Razorbacks have a stiff test this week against Auburn, and he said the game “will show a lot about our team.” A week after the Razorbacks upset Mississippi State, they have their sights set on another SEC West foe.

This is “another stepping stone for Arkansas and our football team moving forward,” he said.
