Former Arkansas standout Joe Adams was one of the most electrifying players in the SEC during his college career. From 2008-2011, Adams starred on offense and on special teams for the Hogs during the Bobby Petrino era.

Now that his football career is over, Adams is returning to his high school alma mater Central Arkansas Christian in North Little Rock, per WholeHogSports.com. He’ll coach the inside wide receivers and cornerbacks.

“Joe is a tremendous person and has unlimited potential in the coaching profession,” head coach Tommy Shoemaker told the website. “We are blessed to have him on Mustang Mountain!”

During his college career, Adams caught 164 passes for 2,410 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also returned 36 punts for 570 yards and 5 touchdowns. He signed with the Hogs over Florida, Georgia and Clemson, among others.

Following his carer at Arkansas, Adams was a 4th round draft pick in 2012 by the Carolina Panthers.

Adams’ punt return touchdown against Tennessee was spectacular.
