The 2018 season was miserable for Arkansas fans as the Razorbacks lost 10 games for the first time in team history. Wednesday, however, indicated that help is on the way.

Twenty members of UA’s 2019 recruiting class have signed in the Early Signing Period, including five players with 4-star ratings on the 247Sports Composite. The current class with seven more commits expected to sign in February is ranked No. 20 nationally on the Composite (the most-cited rankings in the media), but one national analyst has it ranked even higher.

“I have Arkansas ranked No. 15 in the country right now,” CBS Sports Network national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming told Whole Hog Sports. “Despite having a bad year on the field, they obviously have a real good recruiting staff. Better than what I’ve seen in years.”

Arkansas hired Chad Morris on Dec. 6, 2017, giving him little time to recruit for the class of 2018. It appears that working with his own staff for a full cycle has made a world of difference.

The headliner of the 20 signees is 4-star WR Trey Knox. Lemming is very impressed with what he has seen of Knox.

“Trey was one of the best receivers in the country,” Lemming said. “He’s got real good height and real good hands. He’s more than just a red-zone receiver. He has all the tools to become an impact receiver.”
