The Liberty Flames face a tough task going up against SEC competition as they face the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday.

Head coach Hugh Freeze has already spoken to how he has struggled in Fayetteville, something he will hope won’t extend into the weekend contest. But there are more problems that that abound for Liberty as they face a handful of issues within the team that includes the quarterback position — never a good sign.

“We’re not even sure who our quarterback is right now,” Freeze said to reporters. “It’s been one of those weeks. It is what it is. We’ll go and our kids will play hard, I know that, and I like how they’ve approached things. But, dang, that quarterback room has been beat up.”

It’s been rough any signal-caller for the Flames as Johnathan Bennett, who has thrown most of the passes for the team this year, has been sidelined with the flu and initial starter Charlie Brewer has been recovering from a broken hand.

The Flames have gotten down to their fourth-stringer at this point in the season and it will be interesting to see who gets the nod to play this weekend on the road.
