John Chavis has still got some wheels.

The Southeastern Conference’s most experienced coordinator may be on his last stop in the league but that doesn’t mean he’s anywhere close to cruising during training camp in Fayetteville. Not only does the defense appear to be the dominant side of the ball at Arkansas entering the upcoming season, Coach Chavis still knows how to let loose when the occasion calls for it.

The Razorback defensive coordinator made headlines recently when he ran down defensive back Jalen Catalon following the freshman’s pick-six in practice to celebrate with the young defender. After making it to the end zone, the first person to embrace Catalon was not a fellow teammate, it was Coach Chavis.

After watching this video, Chavis offered up a hilarious reaction to the clip.

“I had to slow down or I was going to run by him.”

Well played, Coach.
