Jordan Walsh plans to enter the 2023 NBA Draft while maintaining his collegiate eligibility, he announced on Wednesday morning.

He announced his decision via 247Sports’ Curtis Wilkerson.

Walsh is an elite athlete and a strong defender, which has him on the NBA’s radar as a potential draft pick. However, his offensive game is limited as Walsh shoot just 27.8% from 3-point range this season.

Walsh will now go through the pre-draft process to determine his draft stock, which includes in the NBA combine in mid-May. He’ll receive feedback from NBA front offices throughout the process.

Arkansas has been very active in the transfer portal this offseason. The Hogs have added guards like Keyon Menifield and El Ellis already as they prepare to replace Nick Smith Jr., Anthony Black and Ricky Council.

Overall, Arkansas has commitments from 5 transfers so far. The Razorbacks also signed 2 high school prospects in the class of 2023. If Walsh does return, he would bring an element of continuity to Arkansas’ rotation in 2023-24. He averaged 7.1 points per game last season.

He has until May 31 to withdraw from the NBA Draft if he wishes to return to Arkansas next season.
