Kendal Briles reportedly makes decision on Arkansas future
Kendal Briles has been a hot name on the coaching carousel this offseason. Recently, he was reportedly offered the offensive coordinator job on Mario Cristobal’s Miami staff.
Considering Briles’ ties to the Sunshine State, that was likely an intriguing offer for Briles to consider.
But, on Thursday, ESPN insider Chris Low reported that Briles had ultimately decided to remain on Sam Pittman’s staff at Arkansas:
Kendal Briles will remain at @RazorbackFB as offensive coordinator, sources tell ESPN. Briles was a candidate for the @CanesFootball OC job. He’s been with Sam Pittman the last two years at Arkansas, and the Hogs led the SEC in rushing last season.

Briles spent the last 2 years under Pittman with the Razorbacks. His Arkansas offense will have starting QB KJ Jefferson, among others, returning in 2022.
Briles has also served as the offensive coordinator at Florida State (2019) and Florida Atlantic (2017).
