Nico Iamaleava’s brother, Madden, has decided where he’s going to begin his college football career. The younger Iamaleava had been committed to UCLA but decided to flip to Arkansas on the first day of the Early Signing Period.

Madden had been committed to UCLA since May but will instead join his older brother in the SEC. The young QB posted an edit of himself in Razorback gear on social media to confirm the decision.

Iamaleava stars for Long Beach Poly High School in Long Beach, CA. According to the 247Sports Composite ranking, Iamaleava is rated as the No. 18 QB and the No. 20 prospect out of California.

Before committing to UCLA, Iamaleava received interest from Arizona, Michigan State, Colorado, and others. The QB went on 1 official visit to UCLA and unofficially visited Tennessee back in 2023.

Madden is bringing reinforcements with him to Fayetteville. High school teammate and wide receiver Jace Brown also flipped from UCLA to Arkansas. The same rankings have Brown as a 3-star WR and the No. 49 prospect out of California.

In 2023, Iamaleava was the starting quarterback at Warren High School. The QB led his team to an 11-2 record while throwing for 3,626 yards with 43 TDs and just 4 INTs. Iamaleava transferred to Long Beach Poly in 2024 but was ruled ineligible after playing for Warren in the season opener.

With Iamaleava and Brown, the Razorbacks currently have the No. 28 class in the nation for 2025. The early signing period will conclude on Friday.
