Report: Former Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema lands new NFL job
Since he was fired by Arkansas following the 2017 season, Bret Bielema has spent the past 2 seasons as an assistant with the New England Patriots.
It seems a connection he made there is leading to a new job in the NFL, per a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
As you can see below, Rapoport tweeted that new New York Giants coach Joe Judge — who was also on the Patriots’ staff last season — is bringing Bielema on with him in New York:
The #Giants are hiring former #Patriots DL coach Bret Bielema for a spot on their staff, source said. They are still finalizing details and his eventual role. As Joe Judge builds his staff, he’s adding more experience.

What Bielema’s job will be remains to be seen, but he has plenty of experience coaching on the defensive side of the ball.
Bielema coached the Patriots’ defensive linemen in 2019.
