Sam Pittman admitted that Arkansas can tackle better and that it’s more than one player, as the coach reviewed the 52-51 loss at Ole Miss.
In a matchup of top 20 teams, Pittman discussed the final scoring drive in the post-game press conference, and said he would 100 percent go for the two-point conversion again. The Hogs piled up 676 yards, but also gave up 611 to Ole Miss.
KJ Jefferson had 326 passing yards, with 3 passing touchdowns, and 3 rushing as he connected with 3 different receivers for passing touchdowns. Treylon Burks led the way with 7 catches for 136 yards and a TD.
Here’s a sampling of what Pittman told the media:
Sam Pittman on Trey Knox, who had 5 grabs for 37 yards and a TD at Ole Miss: He’s earned the right to play. I think he’ll help us at tight end, and I think he’ll be one of the tight ends of our future as well.

Sam Pittman said he knows his team can tackled better than they showed today.
“We’ll adjust it after we look at film and see what the heck is going on and why we aren’t tackling well.”

“I wish the results were different. I think I’d do it probably 100% of the time in the situation we were in. Ole Miss was scoring easily and we had to work for ours.”

Pittman on final drive ” that was a great drive. It was a well-executed two-minute drive by the offense. I would do what I did 100 percent of the time. Ole Miss was scoring two easily. “
