After this response, there should be no more ambiguity about how coach Sam Pittman feels about his players like Jalen Catalon when a call goes agains them.

After the Razorbacks’ defensive back was flagged for targeting in the second half of the loss to LSU on Saturday, Athletics Director Hunter Yurachek vowed to get Catalon’s first half suspension overturned this week. But Pittman announced at his Monday press conference that it won’t be overturned after all.

Catalon avoid hitting LSU receiver Kayshon Boutte in the head or neck area, and the Razorback defender turned his body in order to safely make contact with the Tiger.

An Arkansas fan on Twitter replied to a reporter’s tweet with Pittman’s news, and said Pittman should stand up and call it/who for what it is, for the long term betterment of the program.

Pittman fired back at the fan, who said in his Twitter bio that he is a, “big time Arkansas Razorback fan! WOO PIG SOOIE!” Pittman said Twitter gives the fan the opportunity to sit behind a cell phone and tweet out random things about things that he has no idea what he’s talking about.

“I can take a lot of remarks, but for you to say I don’t take up for my players is as far from being correct as you can possibly be,” Pittman tweeted.
