Popeye’s, beer and boating are 3 things Arkansas coach Sam Pittman would include in his perfect day.

The fifth-year coach of the Razorbacks broke down what his perfect day would look like during an offseason segment on SEC Network’s “Marty and McGee.”

His morning would start with coffee at home, rather than his usual trip to Starbucks.

“I wish my wife would learn how to use that new fancy coffee machine I have, because there’s an hour and 15 minutes that I got to take her down to Starbucks,” Pittman said. “That’d be the perfect part of that. I’d sleep in a little later.”

Pittman would then get some chicken before having a beer and getting out on the lake.

“If I could go by Popeye’s and get me one of them $25 buckets and they’ve got 2 sandwiches in there, and then come out and have myself a cold beer,” Pittman said. “Then I’d get on the boat.”

Pittman’s ideal day likely resonates with that of many Arkansas fans, which is one of the reasons why he has been so well received among the Razorback fan base.

While his off-the-field personality has certainly won over many fans, he’ll look to win them over on the field starting Sept. 2 against Western Carolina. The Razorbacks had a mediocre 7-6 season last year and are looking to make a jump this season.
