Upset alert: Fans, media react to Oral Roberts’ halftime lead over Arkansas in Sweet 16
Oral Roberts is threatening to make history against Arkansas in the Sweet 16 on Saturday night.
The Razorbacks are heavily favored in this game, but trail 35-28 at halftime with an Elite Eight bid on the line.
Arkansas shot just 31.4 percent in the first half, and just 1-of-7 from 3-point range.
Jalen Tate scored a team-high 10 points in the first half. Moses Moody struggled in the opening half, scoring just two points on 1-of-8 shooting.
On the other side, Oral Roberts’ dynamic duo of Max Abmas and Kevin Obanor continue to cause problems. They combined for 17 points on 13 shots, with Obanor adding in nine rebounds.
But as Arkansas sold out to stop that pair, it was Carlos Jurgens who took advantage. He scored 11 first-half points on 5-of-7 shooting, including multiple open shots at the rim.
Arkansas is attempting to make its first Elite Eight since 1995. Oral Roberts is trying to become the first 15-seed in history to make the Elite Eight.

This officially stamps Oral Roberts as the most successful 15 seed in tournament history. FGCU, the only other 15 to get this far, trailed Florida at halftime on its way to dismissal.

Arkansas can either play some defense in the second half or be happy with getting to the Sweet 16 and enjoy the trip home.

Arkansas should be attacking Abmas on the defensive end every time down the court. every time. Try to get him in foul trouble dealing with bigger guys in the post.
Also, Arkansas should go small and switch ball screens, don’t trap and scramble.

Just really poor shooting in the first half from Arkansas, including 1 of 8 for Moody. Razorbacks down 7 at the break to ORU, 35-28. #wps Stats pic.twitter.com/oIQKm3BVYO
