Army needed all of 76 seconds to score its first touchdown of the game Saturday against UAB at home.
UAB decided to go on fourth-and-1 from its own 34 on the opening possession of the game and got stuffed. Army began its opening offensive possession just beyond the red zone. Quarterback Bryson Daily scored on Army’s first offensive snap, but it wasn’t necessarily the touchdown that made waves on social media, it was what Daily did to set up the long run.
UAB linebacker OC Brothers met him right at the line of scrimmage and was hit with the nastiest stiff-arm of the season.

The Black Knights entered Week 7 at 5-0 on the season. They’ve scored 37 or more points in 4 of their 5 games this season and cracked 40 in consecutive weeks. Daily came into the game with 5 touchdown passes and 10 touchdown runs on the season.
The Blazers have been much worse, starting Year 2 of the Trent Dilfer era with just 1 win in their first 5 games. Dilfer is 5-12 to begin his tenure and the trend arrow is pointing way down. UAB lost to Navy 41-18 back on Sept. 28 and followed that up with a 71-20 loss to Tulane last week.
Army led UAB 20-3 at the end of the first quarter.
