Five-star defensive end Terry Beckner, Jr. of East St. Louis, Ill., will take an official visit to Auburn, AuburnUndercover reports.

Beckner is the third-rated player at his position group and the No. 17 player in the country according to 247Sports.

Beckner impressed with his size and power off the edge at last week’s Under Armour All-America events.

“I bring an aggressiveness, you have to stay violent,” Beckner told Saturday Down South last week. “You can’t play soft on the line. You have to use your hands.”

Beckner has already taken an official visit to Florida State and has upcoming visits to Auburn, Ohio State and Missouri scheduled. Auburn and Missouri are the only two SEC programs Beckner has been in contact with, and he told Saturday Down South he expected to take an official visit to the Plains this month.

While Beckner said he had not had any contact with Missouri officials as of last week, he did acknowledge he feels he’d be a good fit in Will Muschamp’s defense.
