Auburn basketball picked up a major commitment on Thursday.

7-foot Hawaiian center Sage Tolentino pledged to the Tigers, according to Stock Risers’ Jake Weingarten. Tolentino had offers from Kansas and Cincinnati as well.

Auburn is landing an extremely versatile big man. Tolentino averaged 13 points, 10 rebounds and 3.5 blocks last season en route to leading Maryknoll to the state championship, according to 247Sports. Tolentino’s shooting range extends to the 3-point line and he’s an excellent passer for a center.

Tolentino trained with fellow 7-foot Filipino prospect Kai Sotto over the summer in Atlanta with East West Private.

This is the second commitment for Auburn this month. Five-star Georgia forward Jabari Smith, the nation’s No. 5 overall class of 2021 recruit according to 247Sports, selected the Tigers last week.
