Auburn basketball signee Aden Holloway moved up in the final recruiting rankings update for the class of 2023. He’s also officially a 5-star prospect.

He’s now the No. 17 overall player in the country for this class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s been inside the top-30 since July of 2022 and has been steadily rising for a long period of time.

Holloway is now the second-highest ranked recruit in program history. Jabari Smith Jr., who was the No. 7 overall player in the class of 2021, still holds the top spot.

He chose the Tigers over programs such as Tennessee, Miami and LSU. He’s been committed to Auburn since Aug. 1 of last year and signed with the programs in November of 2022.

Listed at 6-foot, 155 pounds, Holloway projects as a point guard at the next level. He’s expected to compete for a starting role next season at Auburn.

Holloway is the lone high school signee for Auburn in the class of 2023. However, Auburn also has a transfer commitment from former FIU guard Denver Jones.

Auburn has made 4 of the last 5 NCAA Tournaments under coach Bruce Pearl.
