Auburn DB Javaris Davis wasn’t on the “finalized” Senior Bowl rosters, but the departing Tiger will get a chance to play in Mobile this weekend.

Senior Bowl director Jim Nagy announced Davis as a late addition to the North Team roster. Fellow Tiger Marlon Davidson is suiting up for the South Team. Pince Tegas Wanogho was also supposed to be on the South Team, but is not playing in the game after doctors did not clear him to play due to swelling in his knee. The only other SEC players are on the North Team roster are punter Braden Mann and wide receiver Quartney Davis, both from Texas A&M.

Javaris Davis was a returning starter in Auburn’s secondary this past season. He played in all 13 games for the Tigers, recording 43 total tackles, including a season-high of 10 at LSU on Oct. 26. Davis snagged interceptions in the win at Arkansas (Oct. 19) and Outback Bowl loss to Minneosta (Jan. 1, 2020).

The Senior Bowl began practices and held media day on Tuesday. The game is set for 1:30 p.m. CT at Ladd Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama and will air on the NFL Network.
