Auburn names Jarrett Stidham starting quarterback
The decision has been made at Auburn, Baylor transfer Jarrett Stidham will be the Tigers starting quarterback heading into the season opener at home against Georgia Southern.
Stidham beat out junior Sean White, who appeared in 11 games last year and 18 in total for the Tigers over the last two seasons. In his one season as a true freshman at Baylor in 2015, Stidham threw for 1,265 yards and 12 touchdowns with only two interceptions.
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn announced the news Monday morning via Twitter.

Auburn’s season opener kicks off Saturday, Sept. 2 at 6:30 p.m. CT and will be televised by the SEC Network.
