Auburn and Oregon State are set for a pivotal Game 3 on Monday from Corvallis, Oregon after the Beavers took Game 2 on Sunday night.

Monday’s game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN2.

No. 14 Auburn brought the potential tying run to the plate in the ninth inning on Sunday night, but No. 3 Oregon State held on to beat the Tigers 4-3.

“I thought the guys were still competing,” Auburn coach Butch Thompson said. “Just a great college baseball game. We’ll be back tomorrow.”

Brooks Carlson, who was 2-for-4 with a run scored, is ready for Game 3.

“That’s what we signed up for,” Carlson said. “This opportunity is what every college baseball player dreams of. If you don’t grab it by the throat, you’re not supposed to be here. Every single one of us is prepared to play tomorrow and we know that we’re not done yet. We’re ready to go. We’ve got one more shot at this thing.”
