Bigger is better.

Auburn’s Board of Trustees will vote Friday on a proposal to bring a new $14 million scoreboard — expected to be the biggest in college football — to Jordan-Hare Stadium in time for the 2015 opener, according to the Montgomery Advertiser.

Exact dimensions have not been released, but the 200-foot wide project expected to replace the existing scoreboard in the south end zone will dwarf Texas A&M’s 47-by-163 foot video board installed at Kyle Field last year.

According to the proposal, the scoreboard will be funded by the university and reimbursed by the athletic department.

The SEC arms race continues.
